  • Balloons are suspended from the ceiling and released all at once to mark the climax of an event.
  • Balloon drops are perfect for weddings, sports events, corporate events, birthdays, and more.

The magic and wonder of a balloon drop doesn't fade with age, and will always leave your guests cheering with excitement! Balloon drops add a dramatic and fun surprise to many occasions, such as weddings, graduations, product launches, sports celebrations, and more.

The Balloon Drop Basics

So what exactly is happening in a balloon drop? A large number (it varies depending on the venu size) of balloons are trapped in a net and attached to the ceiling of a room. At the perfect moment during the event, the balloons are released from the net and slowly cascade downward right onto the guests. It creates a magical, awe-inspiring moment that highlights the peak of your celebration.

Why Pick a Balloon Drop for Your Event?

Customize Your Balloons

Balloon drops are eye-catching, impressive, and always a hit with guests. They can be customized to include any balloon colors you choose, like white for a wedding, team colors for a sporting event, or all the colors of the rainbow. Balloon drops can also be customized to include different balloon sizes, confetti-filled balloons, metallic shades, and even branded balloons.

Mark a Milestone

What is the perfect moment for a balloon drop? It could be the kiss shared between a bride and groom, the announcement of a new product, the receiving of an award, or the countdown at a New Year’s Eve party. Whatever milestone or special moment you want to celebrate, a balloon drop will make it even more memorable.

Fun and Safe

Unlike fireworks and other risky show-stoppers, balloon drops are completely safe. They can be installed in indoor or outdoor venues and are simple to set up. Whether it’s a small or large-scale event, a balloon drop is what will create the magic!

FAQ

How many balloons are needed for a balloon drop?

Typical balloon drops require 50-100 balloons per 100 square feet of space. The more balloons you use, the denser they look when they are dropped. For example:

  • Small Room (10' x 10' / 100 sq ft): 50 – 100 balloons.
  • Medium Room (20' x 20' / 400 sq ft): 200 – 400 balloons.
  • Large Hall (40' x 40' / 1,600 sq ft): 800 – 1,600 balloons.

Can Mylar balloons be used in balloon drops?

While technically yes, mylar balloons can be used, but they are not cost-effective and often become stuck on the netting. If you would like to use mylar balloons in your drop, it’s better to use them sparingly and mix them in with latex balloons.

What is the trigger for a balloon drop?

The net securing the balloons will have a pull cord woven through to hold it together. When a person on the ground pulls the cord, all of the balloons will drop simultaneously, making it perfect for a countdown or the climax of an event.
