How long do balloons last?

How long a balloon stays inflated depends on the type of balloon and environmental factors. In general with fair atmospheric conditions, you can expect helium-filled latex balloons to last 18-24 hours but can stay floating longer with Hi-Float. Air-filled latex balloons and mylar balloons can last about a week or so.

What is the best way to keep balloons?

Balloons start to break down in sunlight and water. Because of this you will want to minimize exposure time in rain or direct sunlight. For outdoor parties, hold off until the last hour or so before you decorate with inflated balloons. Also, avoid keeping inflated balloons in a bag for more than 30 minutes. The ideal temperature to keep inflated balloons is between 72-78 degrees fahrenheit.
